Birth of the ATO brand
Centro Láctico Balcells (CEBALSA), a company founded by the Balcells family, with a packaging plant in Calle Motors in Barcelona's Free Trade Zone.

Fresh Milk: market leader
ATO products are consumed by more than one million Catalan households. Milk is collected from 3,700 farmers and 480 people work in the factory.

Union Laitière Normande (ULN), a French corporate group, acquires CEBALSA-ATO, owned by the Balcells family.
The ATO Forest is planted in Ger (county of La Cerdanya).
More than 60,000 consumers participate and a tree is planted in the name of each one.
Corporación Alimentaria Peñasanta, SA merges with CEBALSA-ATO, SA (ATO).
2000
Production is transferred to the Vidreres (Girona) factory, a plant built in the mid-1950s, with an ambitious expansion and modernisation project.
